ANYONE RUNNING THIS SPRING SET UP ?
JUST HAD SHOCK REBUILT @ HYGEAR AND SPRING INSTALLED. I ASSUMED IT WAS SET UP FOR MY WEIGHT BUT SEEMS REALLY STIFF NOW COMPARED TH THE STOCK MONO SPRING. EVEN WITH SHOCK IN SOFTEST SETTING NOT A LOT OF MOVEMENT IN REAR SKID.

THEY SAY TO SET SPRING BETWWEEN 40-45MM SAG.

ANYONE HAVE A MEASUREMENT FOR SAG AT BUMPER SITTING ON MACHINE VS OFF ?

THANKS

The 40-45mm is measured at the shock. The spring set should be 40-45mm shorter length with you sitting on the sled than when rear is in the air with no load on it.

I don't have this setup yet but just bought the springs used and was looking at the instructions.

I have the dual spring setup from them and love it.
Yes, you have to set the ride height / sag yourself as it will not be correct as they assembled it.
If you have the dual setup, separately the adjustment of the height of the small spring (what they call the crossover gap of the tender spring) makes a big difference in the stiffness. Open that up some but then you have to re-adjust your overall sag again as that affects overall length of the combo obviosuly.

I can post the instructions if you have the same dual spring setup.

The crossover gap doesn't affect the overall spring length. Only the point at which it "crosses over" from the softer spring to the stiffer one.

Sorry, what I meant was overall length after rider sag because you will be changing the pre-load on the small spring.

Hoist back of sled in air. Measure spring. Sit on it on ground with all your gear or weight. Have tiny friend measure spring with you on it.
Set at 45mm difference.
Set small spring gap to 3/4 inch.
Set rebound & compression in middle for now.
Buy tiny friend a beer.
