Looking at buying my buddies clutch kit off his apex. Will this kit work for a attack. Think it is a Stage 3. Has the supertips and advantage edge secondary helix. Current setup in the primary is. Heal full middle empty and tip one washer. Does anyone know if the primary and secondary spring would be the same? I have sent ulmer a message no response yet. Thanks

should work but you will have to tune it to your sled. I'd check with Ulmer to see what the differences are in the kits between your 2 sleds. yours is more then likely geared different since it's an attack but you didn't mention what year Apex or model he has.

Anybody have his notes for setting up the primary weights?

Apex and Attak clutches are the same. The Attak runs a different secondary spring (stock) than the Apex due to the 23 top gear and longer track. Apex has a 24 unless its a RTX which runs a 22. An aftermarket kit will have different springs. The kit will be set to the weights and helix design.
Your buddy's kit will bolt on with no issues. You will want to double check your peak rpm's. Target is 10,800
