Does anyone know if the 2006-2010 Ulmer racing clutch kit will fit 2011-2016 Apex 128". What are the differences if any? What mods would you recommend to make the 2011-2016 Apex faster? thank you for your input.

The clutch kit will transfer over no problem. I believe the washer placement in the Supertip weights is a little different, and Al always likes to know weight of rider and riding conditions/style too. I'd give him a call for proper specs for the new ride.

Unless I missed it, but I did not see any clutch kits for the newer Apex being offered on Ullmer Racing's website. Made me think that maybe Yamaha finally got it right with their clutching on the newer Apex's but I'm skeptical of that being the case. I run his clutch kit on my Apex LTX and Nytro RTX and have been more than satisfied with the results. With adding an '18 X-TX to the stable, I was looking to purchase another kit but could not locate one on the website.

I'm not a huge fan of Ulmer's new site, I liked the old one better. If you give him a call I'm sure he can still hook you up with a kit. I didn't see a MOD air box/PCV package like he used to have listed either, but I'm sure he could make it happen.

I'm having a hard time getting a hold of Allen Ulmer. I call three times a day and have left messages to have him call. He has a listing for 06-10 Apex and 2011 to 2015 Apex 128". I have the 06-10 Apex clutch kit. Just wanted to know what the difference is between them if any. Maybe a different spring or helix? As far as I know the helix/spring combos didn't change for either the short track or long tracked sleds, just the placement of the Supertip washers.

So I can use the 06-10 kit. Just have to move supertip washers? Do you have instruction in what washers go where? Thanks for your help.As far as I know the helix/spring combos didn't change for either the short track or long tracked sleds, just the placement of the Supertip washers.

Sorry, but I'm not sure about washer placement. I just remember when the improved '11 sleds came out Allen stated here in the forum that the components hadn't changed, just washer placement, and the guys who already had a kit from their older Apex sleds could use what they had on hand.
