I have a stock (other than skis ) 09 Nytro RTX SE. If I add an ulmer stage 1 clutch kit where will there be the most noticeable improvement and does it have much of an effect on the fuel mileage? Thanks

I have an 09 SE as well. When I added my Stage I, the engagement smoothed out considerably, more bottom, mid and top. I'm not sure about fuel mileage, but I would think that since the clutches are working more efficiently, the mileage would only be as good or better.

What does it engage at with the kit...I'm buying an 08 RTX and will be clutching it. The only thing I don't like about the sled is the harsh engagement so I need to change that. right now Ulmers kit is at the top of my list.

It's been a couple months since I've been on my sled, so I really don't remember. Allen Ulmer would better to answer the exact RPM. However, the super smooth engagement was the first thing I noticed. You can't go wrong with Ulmer. I used his products on my last sled (Apex) and it actually turning into a selling point for the sled.

When you order the kit from Allen, tell him what rpms you want the clutches to engage at and he'll send you the appropriate primary spring.

Allen said you loose about 1 mpg with his clutch kit. Not sure what you would loose, if any, with turk's setup.
