How does the clutch compare to stock will it give me better out of the whole and a little more top end? Or does it do much of a difference. I heard Yamaha has the 2011 Clutch pretty well Dialed in but my 06 Had a stage 2 Ulmer clutch and I loved it. Please let me know. Looking for Upgrades on my Apex either Clutch and Elka Shocks or a Viper Turbo lol.

Try an o-p-o in the primary and silver secondary. There are two different o-p-o springs from Yamaha. The short spring will engage lower than the long, but they both have the same shift rate and finish, and both are lower engagement than stock, with the short being 400 - 500 rpm lower than the long with the same weights. The result of lowering your engagement rpm will reduce track spin off the line and silver secondary @ 3-3 allows for a little quicker up-shift. If that doesn't suit your needs, studs, more aggressive weights and different helix are in order. Spinnin' ain't winnin'!

I've only run the Ulmer clutch kit this year and still in the process of tweaking it. It seems to be better on the low-mid range. Top end is the same as my stock clutch.

Good! I have a video if the race and we had 2 take offs I had him on the first take off but the second he got me.

There is a bone stock 2011 Apex xtx in my group and the rider is 100 lbs heavier than me. Neither one of us are studded. As expected, it boils down to traction. On a hard pack, I can pick up about 2 sleds on him on the mid range and pull away a little on the top end. I am also running 24/39 gears, so we are geared almost the same.

As soon as there is a little loose snow, the combination of more track and more weight helps him and he can keep up in the mid range (IMO). When we start from a 60 mph roll on the loose snow, he can pull ahead of me on the top end as I can feel that I am spinning slightly. This is a little tough to take some times since I've spent this $. But at the end of the day, I don't want to stud it and when we hit a hard pack trail (which is common since we ride in the UP) my sled is a blast.
