Not to Rain on your problems...
....BUT.....
.......I've seen 133mph/D M and I was Bone Stock Riding Double with more left.
.....1st that motor needs TOO RUN 11K to 11,100K, Anything less than that gives you what you have. Now I know people are going too tell you different and that's fine, At this point just try it.......you have NOTHING to lose and MORE SPEED too gain
I have two clutches, one stock the other I was trying different set ups at lower engagements and lower WOT RPMS and stock was better, till I started bring UP THE RPM's.
Tuning your own sled to YOUR MOTOR Peak RPM is what you need to do, take a little time to dial it in but it will be worth it in the end....
...BE PATIENT & Record Every Adjustment, Conditions, Temp and then let me know how you made out. As I would like to see what your motor turned out for peak.

How old is your belt??????How fast is your dads sled on gps.Ive got the same clutch kit with 1200 miles and it is set exactly how it was delivered.I have seen 129 on the speedo at about 10500 on ice with about 2 in. of snow on it.Some guys say these things run faster at 10800 or so.I guess it couldn't hurt to take a washer out of the tip and see what that does.I might try this as soon as I get back from my next trip to Canada. If all else fails call Ulmer,I'm sure he will have lots of suggestions for you.

i love the clutch kit but I have ground out 1 tooth on speedo drive and the speedo is in with 5 miles per hour. I have only seen 116 on speedo so that means I am only doing 111. The belt is brand new. Set up with right deflection. I am also using stock secondary spring which is stiffer than Ulmer's on 6-3 and I still only get 10600 RPM. Is there any other speed tricks to these yamahas. I have been ski-doo for 20 years. This is my first Yamaha.
Thanks for replying guys this should be in the Apex column. Thanks Chris

Call us, I'm sure we can help with suggestions. 605-387-2833 easiest to reach from 3 PM to 7 PM Central Standard Time Zone. Make sure to say you have your speedo gear ground down to get more accurate MPH when referencing Dreammeter readings. The pink secondary spring at 6-1 is very close to the silver at 6-3, minimally stiffer. You can always pull tip weight and let it rev if that's what you want. 1 washer = 150 rpms. Give us a call if you have more questions.
