Looking to make a undertunnel exhaust for my Nytro, and close off the existing opening on the chassis then make a brace to support the seat( all focused on looking like the skinz nytro. I know there are many companies that make this but i like the challenge to try and make it myself, anyone have any ideas or pics of what they did ? Im trying to find an exhaust i can use undertunnel without totally destroying my header pipe, and still be able to use a piece of alunimum that sits sort of flush to the tunnel so i have more storage space.

ul have to do something with the header cuz it arcs up above the tunnel a little bit but contact stopdropandroll for his kit with an oft blockoff plate, should take care of what you need. heres mine

What companies make a skink style mount for the stock seat, I had the same idea, but keep the excel exhaust coming out the back

i have two of the stock mufflers from my 2005 yamaha R1. i wonder if i can just use one of them and fab it up under the tunnel. the inlet is close to the same size so i assume it shouldn't restrict any exhaust flow. What clearances do i need i still have tunnel protectors but i plan to run unstudded this year

I did an under tunnel project last year, I used a vector header to keep the exhaust under the tunnel. I was going to do a skinz style seat bracket but decided to keep the factory heat shield as the seat mount.

raginyamaha,
thats pretty sweet flushmounted exhaust you got there! Did you use the stock header?
Thing is, I dont want to bend the header, so I find the exhaust is pointed down a bit making it a bit more pita.

If you swap out the header for a vector/venture header your exhaust will run sit flush with your tunnel.

i was thinking about cutting mine and using a 1 3/4 or 2'' flex pipe as a sort of mid to whatever exhaust i decide to use? Whats everyones thought on using flex joints ? Tried my stock R1 pipe tonight and fire up the sled sound nice but im concerned about exhaust flow maybe not enough, as the r1 does have two of them
