I have cut about 78 lbs off of my 2008 Nytro MTX.
A while ago someone asked me what the cost of my weight reductions were on a dollar per pound basis. I hadn’t really thought of it that way so I went home and figured it out. Some of the results kind of surprised me.
I ended up putting together a list of products for him and later posted it on this site.
A number of people added items so I thought that I would re-post the list.
Perhaps some of you who are thinking about new modifications would be interested in this.
The lists does not consider performance benefits, product quality or reliability, manufacture’s service record… Just price and weight savings.
Prices and weight savings figures may not be exact.
If anyone else wants to add to the list please let me know.

I guess you are familiar with the old saying - the lightest parts are the ones left in the garage...

i have a 7s, if or when i need a new one i'll be getting a 10s...
on a COLD day it had issues, i had to jump it in the morning...it was good the rest of the day once the engine is warmed up.

So how does that equate to a cost average per mile. Mine was high this year.. but still worth every penny IMO!!!!! More on the list for next year too as we venture on our quest for the ultimate ride
