While my 'wood mold sled' is growing up in my shop and waiting to have money for the new engine I'm not able to decide about the new engine setup

Considering that my SuperCharger system with the Standalone EFI is safe and works great, I have different options:

- stock pistons and rods with my current 10lbs boost/220 hp setup.
- stock pistons and rods pushing the boost at 14/15 lb (think 260 hp).
- JE or Wiseco pistons with Crower or Carrillo rods and ARP studs pushing the boost to 14/15 lbs.
- JE or Wiseco pistons with Crower or Carrillo rods and ARP studs pushing the boost over 15 lbs and going around 350 hp (but i think that i need to upgrade also the blower).

Comments and opinions to help this poor and bored sledless rider?
:drink: :o|

The stage one blower is only good to about 14 to 15 psi and stock rods and pistons can handle that easily with the correct fuel without issue. However, if you go much past that mark you will possibly need at least rods and studs. The stock pistons are great and hold up very well to boost pressures. There are alot of guys running 16 and 17psi on the newer turbo kits such as impulse and mcx with stock components with just a headshim installed and have thousands of miles on them, including myself. Unless you plan on running well over 18 and upgrading the super I wouldnt see the need for aftermarket hard parts.

Hey HYFLYR, you never sleep ;)!

Me too I'm thinking that option nr 2 that could be a good compromise btw money and power :)

But looking to my engine all apart while working on the chassis mold (boring work) let come inside head some insane ideas ;):D

personally i have had nothing but problems with wiseco's in two strokes , i tried them a few times and then went back to stockers .
