Hey guys,
I have a 2007 phazer gt with the skid set as stiff as can be and still bottom out easily. The front shocks are well tightened but not all the way. Whats the huge difference between the rtx(fx) skid and the gt? I would love to stiffen things up further but with out spending to much. Who has stiffer springs for the front? And for the skid, any ideas? I'm not worried about the torsions, but the shocks i'm focusing on. The rtx has a HPG clicker but the gt has a cheap a** one, replacing should be good. So where to find one?

Start with the rear shock.I cant say enough good things about mine. Its Custom Axis. Was about $500.Fronts ski shocks the GYTR's are the best buy and pretty good shocks. If I could afford it all my shocks would be Axis. Also I have noticed many who have thier stock steel shocks mounted upside down. The shaft belongs pointing down.Try that.

The FX rear clicker shock is pretty much crap too. Blown the seals out of mine at least once each year. I have a set of stiffer springs for the front shocks if you are looking for a set. I went with another set of springs and have these ones sitting around. I believe the spring rate was 200 lbs/in.

Just went to the site, looks like some pretty cool shocks.
I would use the fox shocks, also makes others then just floats.
Of couse, I can get every thing from carver performance cheaper.

Here you go.
The rear is just compression adjustable.Rebound not needed since they got it right first time right out of the box.I was told to run torsion at lightest setting and that is where it has been ever since unless I ride double.I got this direct from Axis and talked to the guy who built the shock.I wish I remembered his name but I know he also owned a Phazer and may have raced it.The rear shock is the most important since if you cycle the suspension you will see that even just moving the front arm I would estimate the link moves the rear shock double the amount the center one does.

My center shock is just a rebuildable yamaha shock off a viper with the Hygear spring setup on it.Honestly I have never noticed any big difference with any of the many setups I have tried in the center position.

Fronts are something new I am trying.I rode a buddies XTX and was very impressed with the handling it had with Hygear setup on it.I am trying to get close to that but still have the plush ride I had with stock GYTR's.So far so good.
