Hi all, just doing the p.m on my 06 apex. Replaced all the wheel bearings, but I cannot get the upper carrier wheels to come off. I have removed the circlip and was hoping to get the wheel off the bearing, then remove the bearing but I have not had any luck. If I put a puller on it, the wheel just bends. Any quick tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Darrell

There's an Allen key set screw securing the collar onto the shaft...did you remove that? If you did, you could turn the suspension on it's side and try hammering on the shaft to loosen the bearing's hold on the shaft.

Lay the skid on its side with the wheels hanging over the edge of a table and use a rubber mallet and hit the shaft from the top down and it will come off the top wheel.

Put the axel in the freezer overnight when you reassemble. The wheels will slide right back on the axel. ;)!

I had a friend press my old ones off and press the new ones on. That's the only way I've seen them come off easily.

got em!

Ok I got the circlip off, then got the wheels hammered off the bearings, then used a puller to get old bearings off. Cleaned up everything, pressed new bearings in the wheels and installed clips. I pressed on the one side then reinserted the shaft on skid. I placed the other wheel on the shaft and used the bolt with an old bearing and some washers to press on the other. Darn thing was kinda a pain, but I whipped it. Thanks guys for the input.
