Using the Visor Plug for 12 volt power

I have a GOPRO helmet camera that i would like to hard wire using the existing 12volt RCA cord for a heated visor. I ride with an open face so this is never used. Can anyone tell me if I will be damaging my electrical system or wil I be generating any crazy error codes on the sled.
