Vector choke question from new owner- located where?

Sounds like maybe I am shutting mine down too soon?

I just hate to hear the engine over revving or revving high when I know it is cold.

[ :4STroke: quote="MadMax"]I think I can add my 2 cents to this topic..... After all I've owned a 05 vector since new. Here's how I've done it for 8 years.. Push the choke lever all the way to the left. Start, then push lever back to the right until it idles at 2,500 RPM's.. Let it stay there until the red light goes out.. Keep the idle at or near 2,500 for a few minutes.. Leave the choke there while you pull out to go.. After driving a 1/4 mile then push the choke back to the off position. This works great, well it's worked for me now for 11,000 miles. Good luck. MM.[/quote]

I've been using the MM choke method this year and he is spot on. Previously I was shutting down the choke as soon as possible. The MadMax way just works! Less stalling and quicker warm-ups. I think I was actually starting to foul the plugs by shutting the choke off too soon. Sled would act like it was misfiring and would cut out. That doesn't happen now.

That makes me feel great !!!!!!!!!!!! It really does work.. The first winter I had the same problems with the misfires and uneven running. By the end of the first year I worked out the problem... If anyone else out there with the carb version is having this problem...... Just give this a try.. MM. ;)!
