Well, after serious deliberation I pulled the trigger today and bought the wife a new non-current 08 Anniversary Edition Vector.
Looked at a demo 08 first, 1900km but it had a noisy idle (sounded like clutch) , a rattle at 4500rpm, and a vibration through the bars so we passed on it.
Pick it up next week, looking forward to putting some miles on it if the weather holds out!

THe clutch rattle is normal. Just turn the idle RPM up a bit and it goes away.
What's up with the 4500 rpm thing and the vibration???

You will love this sled. And the 40th anniversary wrapping is just icing on the gravey.
Just hit 5100 mile mark and can't say that anything is getting "WORSE" as far as noise and vibration.
The 120 hp 3 holer in the DBII chassis is a super combination and could be the best all round trail sled on the market....really like mine.
The only complaint might be the stock windsheild and wind on the chest and knees, which can be fixed with the right windsheild.

i have an 09 ltx. i love it.excellent trail sled. you don't need an apex for trail riding. if you turn the idle up a lil the clutch noise is all but gone.

I bought an 08 LTX GT for the wife. Just turned 2000 miles and she loves it! She say's its the best sled she has ever had and has no complaints. Up until now I didn't know there was such a thing as a wife with no complaints!
