Which one? I have 6
Any one try a 21 tooth upper gear on the Vector with clutching changes? I am interested in doing some changes to a 2010 Vector. seams to me its slightly over geared for some reason.

21 tooth gear will work out really well in a vec. They are overgeared from the factoryto keep rpm/belt speed down and give good cruising gpm. I am running 22/40 in my 06 Nytro with a 136" track and it pulls it without problems. You may have to add some heavier rivets to the weights but I would run it first and see how it shifts.

i use 21/39 gear in my 09 venture gt (like nytro) and it pull really hard
for a 3 cylinders but keep in mind that you need to changed the clutching
to have the full benefit of a lower gear ratio. :-o

What is the stock gearing on a F.I. VECTOR ? ,Has anyone added a tooth ,Would that give it some more top end (or is that what the origional post was about)

It will be overgeared from the factory my friend. You will likely find you pick up a bit of top end if you drop a tooth. Yamaha loves tall gearing from the factory on these four strokes.

What is the stock gear( number) on a '10 F.I. Vector ? And, what gear should i use to get some more speed at the top end?

i believe is 24/38 so 22/38 with a 68 link chain will be fine. you will also need some clutch work as well
a 45 degree cam with heavier rivets in the clutch weight. if you dont have a lot of yamaha clutching
stuff your better to buy a kit from allen he will guide you to the perfect set up.

Ive got a LTX so its got a 24/39 set up from the factory.
