vector rear cooler protection install

I am a bout to install a piece of 1.5" hyfax to keep my rad from getting gouged. What is the final word on length? To the bend? To the rear upper wheels?

I just covered the heat exchanger. If I remember right I used the length of slide I cut of for my replacement slides

I just bought an 09 vector and the guy didnt have any protection on the rear heat exchanger and its screwed anyone know where i may be able to get a used replacement?
