I know most of you will think I am nuts but I think I would like a Vector seat on my Apex GT.
I bought my wife a new Vector GT last week and put 250 k on it Saturday breaking it in.
I have decided that I prefer the riding position of the Vector over the Apex as I have short legs and a tall body. The lower seat allows me and her to keep our outside feet planted better in the turns and gives a lower COG for our bodies thus the sled is less tippy than the Apex as well. Additional wind protection from the lower seat would be a bonus.
Soooo, has anyone put a Vector seat on an Apex or Attak, and if so how easy a job is it and what custom work and or parts are needed to make it fit?
I see some have put the Apex seat on a Vector or Rage and talk about cutting the tank shroud on the Vector, Does that mean there will be an open space over the tank at the front of the seat if you put a Vector seat on an Apex. If so any suggestions on filling the gap?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
