2008 Vector GT 40th Anniversary
2014 Viper LTX
I just burned out 2 starters on my 08 Vector. One of them was 10 seconds old .I just installed it in the sled and tried starting it to find the newest starter had 10 seconds of starting time and then sh*t the bed. When I removed it ,the splines on it that go into the starting gear inside the motor were sheared off. Same thing happened to the original starter. Which leads me to believe the starter clutch has issues. Problem being ,getting at the starter clutch. 2 or 3 of the bolts holding the casing on are hard to get at. I removed the oil tank and hoses. Is there a trick to removing the bolts (allan key won't get at all of them) ,or does the motor have to be pulled? As usual ,nothing is easy. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok. Looks like I might disconnect the exhaust and and push the motor up. Maybe pull it with a ratchet strap.
