Going with Kimpex Arrow Ski's this weekend and wondering what folks are setting Front and Rear Suspension on. 50% of Riding is Two Up Groomed Trail and the remainder Back Country with extra Fuel so weight will be a constant. Changed my Chain case last weekend and was surprised to see Chocolate Milk ,about a pint of Oil and Water Mixture. If is a seal issue there is no evidence of Oil Leaking out just water getting in. Condensation perhaps. #$%&*

Check with BombaPolaYama. He's got a fair bit of experience with this sled. I've only had mine 1 year and haven't changed anything yet.

I do similar riding to you - mostly two-up on trail. Everything that I could do to lower the front end - The ski shocks are on the softest setting, the front skid shock as well and the limiter strap is pulled up to the last hole. I find mine bottoms quite easily with two-up riding on the bumps and have recently installed the X-click (also avail from Kimpex) 4 position suspension block. Have not tried it on the fourth position yet but the 3rd is about the same as the regular plastic block on the "H" setting. I am not sure about the setting on the rear skid shock; will have to check. BTW, have you checked the frontend for slop in the A-arm bushings, the ball joints, steering pivot, and spindles? Any slop in those areas will also contribute to poor handling. Most everything has been changed on mine. And it is outta warranty now so any new stuff will be aftermarket stuff from suppliers on here like the Ulmer Bushings, UPBushman stuff, etc.

I think the handling on these and any four stroke would be helped a lot with a clutck kit that would reduce engine braking and make for smoother transition and momentum in the turns. I'm considering the Schmidt Bros comfort clutch kit for the VL and it is only $99. Has anyone tried it? I would also like to try the Schmidt Bros. Sway bar but for $559 + tax + shipping I would need to know for sure that it works and even then it is very pricey. Should have gotten it when it was $459 - oh well!

I am not familiar with the Arrow skis are they wider than stock? And what carbide are you going with. The PH skis and Shaper bars I have are 100% better than the stock skis for sure. However, I noticed on my first ride on a groomed trail this year that I was getting some darting which contributes to body roll as well. So I am going to shim the rear of the ski bumper ~ 1/4" to see if helps. I used to have the OEM ski shimmed but didn't think I needed it for the Slydogs.

Can't help you on the chain case oil but mine is in for servicing right now and will ask about the condition of the oil.

Let us know if you make any changes and how it works.
