Here's the deal on the beldt tracks.
I forgot who made them but they stop makling them because they would waste 10 tracks trying to make 1 they weren't cost effective.Decker's ended up with all the tracks when they stop making them.Well Anderson made a deal with deckers on pipes he got all the tracks that where left.So they are pretty pricy now.Well everyone has been trying get these tracks and have track places make them this past year I can't remember if it was carlise or camoplast gave in and made some but I think they had to get the rights from Anderson and they made 15x121's I'm not shure how many. Most speed run guys run 116" and narrow tracks because they only run the back 20" of the track on the ground any more just slows you down.So Knapp is right on most of them track beeing how old.I forgot what year but I think it was the real early 90's when they went out of production.

As I have discovered I stand corrected. This is to me is unbelieveable to think someone would first want to sell a track that has been sitting there that long but secondly why somone would want to buy one to run those kind of speeds. It appears most know this going into it and decide to take their chances since there is nothing else available. To each their own.

Guys but them for there pro stocks too.If you want to compete you have to have because evryone else does they only weigh about 16lbs.They are worth about 10 mph.For instance one of the top prostock 700's runs 131-132 in a 1000ft with this track if you would putr a camo 1/2" on it would be around 121-122.Guys but them because it was the only tracks available but someone produced a few last winter. It's not that hard to understand.

The only problem I have with all of this is I have seen what can happen to someone when a track lets go and she was lucky to live. I hear what you are saying and I guess we all do things for the thrill of speed and to compete. It is not about understanding. I guess it comes down to where you draw the line. Again to each thier own.
