I started a track swap on a 15 Viper XTX today. On the tensioner bolt, did yours have a space between the bolt its self and the roller bracket that the spring you mentioned? Is the spring supposed to hold the roller bracket away and off from the tensioner bolt? Im trying to add a photo but it will not upload

I don't recall but I believe it's normal, it should come in contact when the sled is moving, that's when the slack side of the chain pushes against the tensioner thus keeping proper chain tension, remember finger tight and 1 1/2 turns out and tighten the jamb nut.I started a track swap on a 15 Viper XTX today.
