Just took the new viper for a short run yesterday. I quickly realized a set of knee pads would be required and ordered a set of Skinz off of ebay.

YamaCat ones are garbage. I ordered them last year and sent them back without even opening the package.
I ended up with a nice combination kit from Racewerx which includes knee pad & frogskin vents.
Another option is to buy JetSki padding and cut your own ones out, you can also get the JetSki padding in many different colors.

Did the same and so far so good -only problem is they can be stolen real easy.Used the Yamaha ones since 14. The hardware was total junk, but used heavy duty Velcro and they worked great

I put the Skinz set on. It looks great! The attachment is definitely solid. I used a heat gun to remove the stickers first, and did the install. Go with the Skinz!

I have the CAT ones they are chincy but I put them on with real rivets and they do offer protection. I then got Motorfist gear and they have removable knee pads in the pants.

Muffin Works is in development of a knee pad product. Not sure yet if we will bring it to market. But stay tuned ....

I ordered and installed the "Skinz" knee pads and they installed great and fit great. The coverage is wide for the V area where your knees would make contact. The instructions advise installing in a "warm" area to let the adhesive cure so keep that in mind as with any adhesive installed pads. I did mine on a pretty warm day and the sun was on the Velcro so they seemed to have adhered quite well. They appear to be of rugged material. We'll see how they hold up but others have given them a thumbs up so I thought I'd try them.
