just got a 06 Vector and wondering what is a good rule regarding warm up time. First time with at 4 stroke.

You're supposed to be good to go after the temp light goes out, but I personally never take off without at least 5 minutes of idle time.
This is on a stone cold engine, like sitting overnight, or days at a time. If it's after a lunch stop or something like that, I'll let it idle for maybe a minute.

That's good advise too. I have done the same thing also.
One thing I may add is, the water temp comes up faster than the oil temp, & the oil is what you really want hot.

It's easy with the vectors. Feel the foot boards, when the exchanger gets nice and warm shut her down.
