Hey Kurt,
Welcome to TY. It is a great site.
Substantially different than RSS or anything else.
There is a ton of info here. Use the search feature and you will be amazed at what you can find.
Congrats on the new Warrior.
I bought one last year. Best sled I have ever owned, but takes getting used to.
It is a totally different being than what you and I are used to.
A 136" Ripsaw is a whole different animal compared to the spinners on our previous sleds.
The 3 way steering we were used to is hard to come by with that track.
She is a real hooker and want to push you straight
As LB said you are going to have to adjust your riding style.
The advice you were given above and the new skis is are a good way to start.
Sorry to hear about the damage. Usually the "Hoppyzone " is a little kinder
to its guests.
Gents, this fella can have a whacked out sense of humour. Look out if he sticks around. He can stir up a pot real good for those that do not appreciate his humour.
Go easy on them at first KEWX till they get to know you.
Dave

Warrior Handling; TAKE IN THEM STRAPS
I was traveling to Zion Illinois on business on Tursday, December 14th and stopped in to Goodwin Performance. There were just about every type of sled there in various stages of modifications. These guys just came back from the Northwoods of Wisconsin where they had been testing various mod setups. Needless to say I was impressed, there was a guy terring down an 05' Vector as I waited to talk to one of the technicians. I mentioned the problems that many of the Warrior / RX-1 owners are having with ski lifting as well as the tippiness (especially the Warrior) and he said so many of those problems cam be remedied by tightening that strap up. He suggested all the way and then work it out from there. He also said that the front preload has much les to do with keeping the skis on the ground and flat an even tracking around corners. He had ab 05' Ski-doo as well as an F7 (I don't know much about these sleds, but he said they were new and they were up north for testing) and he liked the Vector better than both of them. As for the RX-1 he said that is set up correctly (pull in that strap) many of the out-of-the-crate problems disapear. One of the guys there was a snowcroos racer now doing field testing and he agreed with the adjustment recommedations. I don't clainm to know 1/1000 of what you guys know, but I really thing these guys know there Sh_t and I'd like to hear what you think regarding the limier strap issue.

Well, its a compromise either way. Sometimes its nice to get those skis way up off the ground. In the case of the 05 rx1, sucking in the straps is probably a good thing since they have SO MUCH weight transfer. Anything older or any Warrior though, and you want to be careful how far you take it in, 'cause it might drive flat, but you have to realize that an army tank drives flat.

Funny though
And judging by how they installed the oil filter, it wasn't women who built the sled, it was sumo wrestlers.
Glad you got a LOL. No sumo wrestler needed. In 02 in china I got a massage from this 85lb girl (not the happy ending type LOL) I felt like I got run over by a truck for 2 days. Yes those little asian girs are stronger than you.

Anybody who rolled ANYTHING can't drive.
If you haven't rolled a sled,.. you haven't ridden much.
I once rolled my sled 3 times before I went through the ice and it was an Exciter.

Do everybody and yourself a favor and DON'T DRIVE. You're obviously REALLY BAD AT IT.

I've been takin it easy on them so far. I can hardly believe that Exciters would stir anything up since we all finished them off years ago. Still, riding the Warrior does remind me of an Exciter.
3 way steering?? No wonder there is a problem,.. I thought there was only 2 way steering.
I don't mind the pushing straight,.. it's the inside ski coming off on a high speed outside turn expecially grade down. You know how that can be.
Actually,.. inside turns are worse.
So, I have Simmons Flexi Skis and I'll tighten up the limiter straps as I'm headed to the Hoppyzone on Monday nite.

If it makes you feel better,.. I never rolled my SRX except barrel rolled in mid air and it came down right side up.

It was last December at night on the trail from Sidnaw to Kenton in the Hoppyzone. I had just glanced down at the speedo it said 63mph. Soon as I looked up,.. whamo,.. I hit a deer. The deer launched the sled and I slid down the RR tracks under the sled as I watched it barrel roll in mid air. I though the SRX would go down the grade but it landed right side up and didn't go over so,.. Yes,.. it was intentionl but I was deer hunting without a permit. The studs didn't do the deer much good either.
This is a true story and also, I'm the most conservative rider in my group.
I was last in a group of 5 and therefore the slowest in the pack. So, don't worry bout me. It's them I tell you!!! They're krazy!
