Yellowknife
TY 4 Stroke Master
Anyone know how much the Phazer Mountain Lite weighs?
I might purchase one as a second sled to my rev.
yamaha-motor.com says it weighs 514 lbs dry
yamaha-motor.ca says it weighs 489 lbs dry
Which is it?
I'm comparing this model to the Summit 550Fan, those are my choices. I'm selling my quad and looking for a second sled. I'm leaning heavily towards the yamaha, but I've been screwed buying first year sleds before when the SDI's first came out from Doo. I'd kick myself in the head if this new motor/sled from yamaha was problematic. I've looked at buying a yamaha for a couple of years and I've always gone with the Rev platform, but doo's engine's suck. I blow two motors a year and put on roughly 8 to 10 thousand km's a season. I ride at -40 degrees, that's always been a factor into the 4 stroke department when I'm out at the lodge overnight without electricity to warm the engine. There's a thousand dollar difference between the Yammi and the doo, the doo is the cheaper. The yammi dealer is willing to come down on price by about $300. Do any of your dealers charge you guys for freight? Dealers here claim that shipping to Yellowknife, NT is another $150 - $250. Is that a scam? I thought the manufacturers prices the sled overall to level out shipping fee's in the price of the unit across the country. I took the Attak out last year for a weekend and it was great, very impressed. Did a video review that I posted on here I think. I love riding in powder the most, just flatlands here and lakes mostly, so the Mountain Lite sounds like a fun sled. It must be great on fuel too, the 550 Fans suck the juice, and the idea of no oil usage is always nice with my mileage. Fuel injection sounds sweet too.
Anyway, that weight question...
