Weight Reduction

If you are looking strictly for weight and not overall performance changes (accept for handling) Like most are saying here is a few things

1) After market battery. Cheap fix being thye cost the same as factory
2) Front a-arms from allternative impact. Don't change the performance much, but the hardware is real beefy, and there is a good weight savings for a small price. You can sell you old arms for the same price on ebay for these new ones fyi
3) New exhaust pipe and header
4) Seat changes not only save weight but are usually a nicer feeling foam/gel
5) The rear tunnel plate is a huge savings. I wieghed a chunk of ice on mine at 27LBs once. Add on e pound of metal to save almost 30lbs of ice
6) Add the dash mesh from OFT before trying cooler tunels etc. A lot of heat gets trapped into the nytro hood compartment. That and some vent help a lot IMO

Above are probably your cheapest fixes for your sled. Rear suspensions, and chnaging parts to other materilas gets costly form what I have seen

I've managed to shave 70lbs off of mine so far. For dry weight savings the rear skid has the largest gain, anywhere from 36 to 15lbs depending on what you go with. Lots of good options for skids out there and as mentioned before you can sell your old one to help recover some of the costs.

For wet weight savings, the suggestions mentioned are good ones to help reduce tunnel icing.
For the front subframe area I use bubble wrap!! Quite a bit of snow/ice can pack in around the subframe and above the skid plate. I spray paint the bubble wrap black and pack it so that the smooth side is out, so that it looks ok. Most guys don't even notice that its there.
It actually saves quite a bit of snow weight in the front end and the best part is that its free/cheap!

Who makes a good quality, lightweight and most important quiet silencer?

There are a bunch hindle, excell, hauck, aeen. The question is sound rules in your area etc. Hauck, or excell and hindle which Ulmer carrier all have ones closevor within legal DB. If you go on YouTube you can hear them on there.

It being legal is not the issue, it is me listening to it while riding. Quiet is better on a 250-300 mile one day ride.

for me, after riding 2-smokes for the last 20 years, even the mbrp (which is the loudest aftermarket 4stroke muffler imo) is quiet... the last 2 years of me riding my nytro have been a blessing for my ears! I use a cherrybomb turbo muffler with an undertunnel exhaust system, which is quieter than the mbrp... for the long trips I like to wear earphones or earplugs. so the sound on long rides doesnt bother me at all
