We would like to put together a campout/get together in the western/central Wi. area. This should make it accessible for several TY members from Wisconsin, Minnessota, Iowa and Illinois. What do you guys think?
We found a cool campground near Black River Falls, Wi. It is on the Black River. they have Canoeing, kayaking and tubing, along with fishing and I thought I saw a mention of scuba diving if there are any divers out there. It is a public campground with group site available, full service trailer hook-ups and cabins for rent.
the website is www.lostfalls.com
We are thinking Aug. 13,14 and 15,2010
Jen and I are looking into other possible campsites but this one looks like it could really fit our needs.
All comments are welcome! Lets get your thoughts and ideas on this!

Also checkout Castle Rock lake, adams county campground. Great time if you want to do some boating. lots of resturants and big lake for boating activities.

I would be interested in what ever is planned.

Tyler, do you have any website information on campgrounds in that area? We did consider that but could not find much info. via search engines.

WOuld also be interested.

Mark,

Just posted this over in the silver lake thread:

I would also like everyone to know that we are going to plan a get together on the Wisconsin side of the lake. We would like to give the northern Ill., Wis., Iowa, and Mn. people a chance to get together during the summer also. so we are going to be looking into decent sites over there for a campout also. Possibly an Aug. date? but lets get this one planned out first!

Mark,
Remember I mentioned lake Koshkonong just north of Janesville? It's right off 90/39 and the lake is huge so plenty of room to play and it feeds into a good size river. I remember finding a really nice campground there with showers and all years back when I used to camp a lot. There is a boat launch right at the campgrounds as well...
Just looked it up...It's Lakeland camping resort. It's got everything we would want. Just click on the amenities tab...

Just a thought.

Jen and I did discuss Koshkonong! As a matter of fact we are very familiar with the area! That is where 1crazysledder lives! We will be there this weekend and maybe we could drive by the camsite and check it out!? See if it would be good for a group get together and what they can work out for us.
Thanks for the link!

No problem Buddie!
Let me know what you think. I liked it back then. Had a game room and all kinds or crap. I think they even have live music on the weekends. That was in my heavy drinking days so maybe that was music in my head laying the tent...LOL...
but I KNOW I remember camping someplace like this with pretty good live music. It was a great time. :-o

We could always add another campout weekend!? lol.... could be a busy summer! I really like the looks of the lost falls campground in Black river falls and it would be closer for some of the Mn. TY-ers. I've got a pm. in to Vinnie, I am sure he will have plenty of information to help us out with!

That is a great camp area. There is allot of live music also. There are two bars right there, the anchor, and I can't remember the other one. Very popular places on the weekend. I could get a summer venue for the places and we could try to camp the same weekend they have stuff going. The lake has quite a few places to party at. Having a boat would be best means of transportation from place to place. All I have is a fishing boat, but I can fit 3 or 4 into it easy.( It has a 115hp motor on her so I can zip around pretty good. lol ) The "Sunset" has homemade, paint on and regular bikini contests, boat races, etc. The lake is pretty much busy all summer long. There are also "party coves" in the shallows off of a point I know. The lake is 10,500 acres, so there is plenty of room. I'm not sure what Lakeland looks like these days after the flood of 2008. Everything down here was pretty much destroyed. Mark and I will take a cruse around and report our findings. I live right on the Lake, so getting the info will be easy.

Hm....i'm likin the bikini contests!!! ever have any 'wardrobe malfuntions'??? LOL...

There have been a few. lol My favorite to this day is a bikini made out of fishing line and 3 bottle caps.

We checked out Koshkonong and it really didn't look that promising for a weekend camper. most of the camp areas there are geared for permanent sites. Huge lake but not much for camping areas.

thers is a great campground on hwy g south of 82 in adams co wi, called k and l campground. has a lil bar lotsa sites and across the street is a place called boondocks which has great food n a bar...would b nice 2 meet u guys in person, just a suggestion
