Hi Fellas,
I have a 06 Rage and have had enough of our snowless winter, I am heading north in a few weeks to finally get some miles on. I was wondering what you guys find the best for travelling luggage (saddlebags, etc) what brand, model, etc.
Any pieces that you will not leave home without?
Thanks to everyone involved for putting on such a great site, it's nice to be on one that isn't a constant slanderfest.

The only saddle bags that I know of are the RX1 bags. A friend of mine tried a set on his and they looked like $hit. I only use a W/S bag and handle bar bag. You may want to look at a set of bags that you can put on the seat where you sit and try them.

I use a back pack, it works out great and besides the saddle bags don't look that great on the sled.

Hey 3 Phase,
I purchased a windshield bag (Yamaha) and a saddle bag (Royal Distribution, I believe it's called a Sno Pro!??). I have taken enough in both bag for 2-3 day trips no problem, which included cloths and safety supplies. You may want the tank bag as well, however I found it took up too much room.

We also needed to be able to carry a fair amount of stuff. I went to 3 dealers to look at bags ,etc. and they had nothing and would of had to order , so I did the following.
Windshield bag - Soft leather fanny pack- Walmart - $9.95- works well.
Handle Bar bag- by Gears- Snow show- $9.95- neat & fits well.
Tank bag- Polaris Edge tank bag- very good fit, just added fleece - dealer says it fits better than Yamaha bag.
Saddle bags- Princess Auto - $22 - did some reinforcing.
Rear deck- fastened 3"h x6"deep x 15'long plastic tool box, exhaust goes over top, but added thin aluminum shield on top to protect on warm days.
We now have lots of room.
