What idle RPM to set at?

What is everyone setting the idle RPM at with and without a Vortech bypass valve on their superchraged Apex? I have mine set at 1500 but was wondering which RPM would give the best throttle response when coming off idle. Also maintaim idle when releasing throttle quickly. Please chime in everyone.

1500 is perfect, any more will just waist gas.
