I have a '06 apex rtx....Sled has front fox float shocks....What ius better or worse. The clicker shock or the air shocks...I ride all kinds of conditions..Off trail, back woods, hill climb, exploring and lake riding...Is this shock my sled have the best? Or would I benifit from the gytr clicker shock? (adjustability VS air pressure)

Im all for the Fox floats they seem to work the best for me. Very easy to change air sittings and they dont seem to bottom out for me.

Me & friend had EXACT '06 sleds except he had Fox floats up front. We both thought the floats were better for bumps, but a little less of an all around, all day comfort feeling. He's had them updated by Hygear & they out perform my new GYTR clicker shocks on '07, in every situation, although it's close. Hope that helps...

I would agree with this ^ . My 2011 with the floats loves to be ridden hard and is awesome in medium bumps at speed. As an all around shock I would say the GYTR's on my 06 GT were a little better than the floats. The floats are lighter and better in the trash by a bit but not a lot. I would not pay money to go from one to the other. Both are an excellent shock.

I could not stand the floats. Yes they don't bottom out but the don't ride a plush as the gtyr plus in really cold conditions they are unreliable.

shocks
Reason I am asking is that I am thinking to the clicker shock...I like the look of it and the adjustability..Weight factor....Never considered it..Sled is nearing 700 lbs What's another few pounds..

Re: shocks
Have you considered the Ohlins for up front? If I were in the market for different shocks they would be in the running. I would also look at a pair of Custom Axis set up with dual rate springs from Hygear.
