I thinking of stretching my shorty to 136"'. I interested in getting everyone's opinion/pictures of their choice. So far I've found Muffinworks, MPI, Hartman and leaning towards MPI because of how it "seemlessly" integrates with the rest of the tunnel. Strength of it for lifting the sled or towing is also of concern. Also, i am assuming that it "should" fit in a 10' enclosed trailer.

Lets see what you got!

I am not sure on what extension to use but it will fit in a ten foot trailer for sure, My warrior has lots of room in mine and we can even fit my buddys phazer mtx in it.

Carefull with the MPI extensions. I have their 144" extension. I did not know it also fits the 151's. The bumper did not fit well at all. I spent some time tweaking it to fit. It does not fit into a 10' pop-up trailer with out taking the bumper off. A regular 144" sled will fit.
Once installed the extension does fit well. The bare Alum polisehes rather nicely.
Next project I will try the Hartman extension. I hear nothing but good things about Hartmans stuff

A friend of mine has Ulmer's setup on his '08 Apex RTX. It consists of Tracks USA rail-extension with Hartman's tunnel-extension. Looks very good, and with very nice fit! He tows quite a bit with it also, no issues so far... ;)!

http://www.ulmerracing.com/ There are a few pictures of the Apex under "Long track kits"...

Go with the Hartmann ext they fit great and look OEM. I have done 3 sleds with Hartmann parts. More pics blow in the link.

I have a hartman 151" on mine. It has pulled a lot of sleds out with a snow bunji and has held for 5 years. It comes with supports that tie the bumper into the sled for strength.

That is certainly interesting.... anyone know if the MPI bumper ties into the factory tunnel, or does it just bolt to the extension?

ext

Hartman all the way..........

Our (Muffin Works) tunnel extensions fit great, and are super strong. They also allow you to retain use of the stock bumper ... which makes it looks almost like a stock pieces. Power coating is also available. If you search around, you'll find many here have used our extensions, and our reputation is great.

On the 144/151 extension it just attaches to the extension. Plenty strong. It has been tested :) even rear ended :)
