The Wolverine has an odd ball 23in tire. You might try mounting 25in tires. You will loose some power but the additional ground clearance will probably be nice. Another plus is tire selection.

might have to adjust the clutching if you go up 2 sizes (25). with 24's it will be a bit more boggy on the bottom end but should work.
