blue smoke on start up

I have been geting a good amount of blue smoke on a cold start up and smokes till warm think it's time for top end rebuild and is it hard to rebuild theses motors it's a 2006 450 wolverine

as long as you pay attention to the timing marks and replace the timing chain and tensioner, they are not that bad to do. sounds like you might have stuck rings as well as bad valve seals. have you tried running some yamaha ring free through it in the gas? might cure the problem if they are just stuck.

I have not tried the ring free but I will pick some up and give it a shot thanks for the help
