I would leave it hooked up...the annoyance is worth the potential problems of thinking you are in forward when you are really in reverse.

I would leave it hooked up...the annoyance is worth the potential problems of thinking you are in forward when you are really in reverse.

It looks like the outer plastic piece rotates so you can rotate it to cover the holes and muffle the sound. I'm going to start with that and see what it does.

Just put some in the beeper, I filled mine up, can still hear it but not annoying. I always go around my sleds when I get a new one and "seal" up front of sled/belly pan/shock towers and around clutch to keep snow out. Had silicone gun out and just put a dab in the triangle opening of beeper.
