My a-arms on my GT have a few small chips in them, and there is Maroon colored paint underneath! I wonder if they used RTX arms, and painted them for the GT. I would like to find a touch up for that until I have them powdercoated.

Here ya go. I have 2 small chips in my a-arms. I think i am going to try this company out. supposively they have all the yamaha colors.

I did it for the 06 year but if you have an 07 just go back through the snowmobile section and input year and model.

I tried them a couple of weeks ago for my 07 RTX and it comes up with blue, not yellow.

I also sent them an e-mail at the same time asking if they had yellow paint for my RTX and they still haven't responded yet.

hmm your right. I even tried it for the 06/07 nytro. I wonder why they dont have it listed. In your case i would paint the whoel a-arm anyway and save some paint for touch up. Thats to much to touch up. Yours are really bad. I have 2 small chips.

I don't know if the a-arms are that big of a deal to me. I think I'd try putting a-arm guards on before tearing them off to paint or powder coat. I'd think you'd have to remove the bushings also to powdercoat, and that may be a pain. Mine only have 2 small chips on one side, so guards are in order here first.

I feel the same way. I want my sled mint mechanically and to look great from a few feet away when sledding (snow covered). I don't think its worth it (to me) to pull the a-arms out for painting unless I need to change the bushings at the same time.

If I can get some touch up paint, I'll just touch them up. I doubt anyone will notice the touch up when I'm sledding.

I might look at a-arm gaurds also, but they may lead to more rusting and I'm not sure if they are worth it either.

My running board paint is wore off but i own a body shop :jump: So no big deal for me but the finish is good on the gas tank because my knees are on it most of the time and it's like new.My A arms are like new also 3800 miles .You guys must push a lot of sleds!!! :-o

yea speakimg of paint, the silver arms under my skid are starting to rust very bad on my 06 gt, Come on these sleds are built for the weather, I dont expect to see rust after 1000 miles, Any fixes for this, should i get powdercoated again or will it be off.
