Hey guys I'm looking at an upgrade from my 07 Nytro, I do about half my riding locally on semi groomed trails and some long trips up north doing about 200 mile a day. I would call myself a semi agressive rider and hesitate to get on a new vector but I do want a comfortable groomed trail ride? I'm looking at Nytro, nytro RTX and a Vector. I have no seat time on the Nytros.

Thanks

You should really get a ride in on the nytro and vector to make your decision. I do pretty much all trail riding with long days (200-300 mile days) and some play riding too. I find the seating position on the nytro so comfortable for me I can ride it all day no problem, i'm 6" 3' too. I've rode the carb vectors too, which are really nice sleds too but they are are a sit down style sled. Completely different style sleds so I would ride both first to make your final decision, now just if it would snow for you.......

I agree with the Nytro being a great all around sled! I own a 2008 Vector LTX GT and a 2009 Nytro XTX, my plan when I bought the Nytro was to share the season between the 2 sleds, since I have gotten my XTX I have used my Vector for 1 ride, 2 winters ago while I was waiting for parts for my Nytro. Don't get me wrong, the Vector is a great sled, I logged 5000 km on it in 2008 and loved every one of them, but the Nytro does everything so much better! BTW don't rule out the XTX if you plan any lake riding, it's faster than the 121's,LOL

I would say Nytro XTX for longer rides, and moderate to aggressive riding. Smoother then the RTX, but still capable on bumps

Thanks for the input, sorenson1610
Do you find the seat confortable? my 07 nytro seat is like a rock? Do the XTX's really handle as well as a 121? do the Nytros have a heavy steering effort and does anyone run snowtrackers?
Sorry for all the questions but it's hard around here to get to test ride before you buy.

I think the seat is firm but I find myself standing a lot on my nytro. I've riden a xtxt but just on a lake so others will have to chime in. Steering really depends on how you have the sled set up, that can change a lot with settings. Some use snowtrackers or dual runners. I wasn't a big fan of the dual runners as they pushed really bad for me. Yeah that's hard to get a ride on the sleds when there isn't snow or the dealers won't let you demo one. Hope that helps

XTX all the way...dial it in and you'll never look back.
Consider the backcountry 1.75 version. I did the same track and ski set-up last year and have to say mine rocks. Track really hooks up nice and makes the sled feel much lighter - no problem lifting skis anywhere. 4000 klms last year with half on the semi groomed trail...(running sratchers when the snow gets way low/hard). Oh yeah, replace your first set of hyfax with the Dupont ones.
