What size (rate) big boy spring do I need? Apex GT

I bottom my sled out all the time and wanted to get a big boy spring and was wondering which one to get? I wieght about 245-250 lbs dressed. I see in the accessories book they are listed by rate, they list 5.5 6.1 6.5 7.1 Which one do I get? It is for a 06 Apex Gt,with EC Ohlins. Thanks,Eric

do yourself a favor and call ohlins usa,and find a ohlins shock specialist in your area,and get your gt shock big springed and RE-VALVED ,trust me ,it will be a different sled!!!!!!! dont just geuss on a bigger spring,they will tune it for your weight and stlye
i shipped mine to AMF Motorsports in new hampshire ,he used to work for ohlins,i cant be happier!

I'd get the highest rates spring. I bought the 6.0 for my RTX and wish I would have gotten the 8.

You are in my weight range and i would recommend you have your shock revalved along with the spring change. You will not like a stiffer spring without a revalve. I run a 6.5kg/mm spring and could not be happier. 7.1 was too much. Send your shock to Bruce at Pioneer performance and he will take care of you...
