i would like to know what type of ice scratchers everyone is running on there XTX. are you using the ones on the rail or the ones mounted under the running boards? If you have pics that would be helpful. i've already swtiched to the bigger idlers but i'm thinking of adding the scratchers for added peace of mind during longer trips.
thanks

thanks

Thanks Frosty for the reply. great looking sled by the way, love that colour, same as mine. love the snowskull decals as well, been thinking of adding those on my sled when i first seen them in the accessory catalogue( hope you don't mine if/when i do add those decals) but i know i'm upgrading to ohlins next year for sure.
love those on my SRX, those should be stock on all of the Apex's.
did you just modify the rail scratchers to fit them on the ski? that's where they should be so they spray right at the track

Thanks for the compliments on the sled ! The old saying goes " imitation is the ultimate form of flattery " Go for it
I used a set of Kimpex tunnel mounted scratchers / longer bolts/ spacers / washers and drilled 2 holes in the tails of the skies to hold them when not in use. Works like a charm !

so you used the ones that mount under the running boards.
i think that's the way i'm going to mount mine as well, looks a lot nicer and more practical. i figured mounting them under the running boards would maybe cause some vibtrations coming thru the boards.
thanks very much.
