I have a stock 2009 mtx and want to replace the wheels and hyfax on the track. I'm confused on all the different sizes and hear of some guys adding larger wheel in the back. What wheels should I get? I ride 40 percent trail 60 powder and am running a 153 track. Also what hyfax should I look at and what is the cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Wheels from the VMAX chassis fit on your sled and have replaceable bearings. if you want to go a little cheaper but still have quality vs. the Excel wheels use the VMAX parts. DuPont slide for sure.

I'll be the first to admit I'm new to the game but trying to catch on. What's the purpose of the different sizes? Also I've heard of guys adding extra wheels? Not sure why....just ordered the dupont slides and looking into excell wheels

Excell wheels are slightly larger diameter than stock wheel so they reduce loading on the sliders. I stock and sell them. Since you run some trails I would also suggest ice scratchers.

Ok how much do the wheels run for the set? I saw them for 300 I think. Also what do the scratchers do?

If I put larger wheels do I need to do any other modification to the axle or anything?
