Comparing 2007 Phazer GT with FX
Functionally, the GT has taller gearing, different swaybar, a-arms and shocks. The a-arms change due to the swaybar mounting.
Cosmetically, you have straight bar ends, wind deflectors and windshield.
Clutching and the rest of the sled is the same as the FX.
Edit Add: Forgot the torsion springs are softer on the GT
Hope this helps

Could You buy FX shocks or shock springs and put them in place of the GT KYB shocks..or put the springs on the KYB's?

i ride my gt pretty hard, no i beat my gt but i also beat it on abundant snow so it is holding up pretty good as opposed to all my other sleds.
i was qouted when i bought it 750 for the f/x shocks but i wanted better, im still lookin for them.
but my sled has around 3000 miles on it so im really lookin now?

The swaybar is actually harder on the GT.
Fresh off the Portyamaha Fiche:
Front Shocks
2 Ea. ABSORBER ASSY 1 UR FOR DPBSE 8GN-2376A-00-00 $447.11
or...
2 Ea. ABSORBER ASSY 1 UR FOR PMIB 8GN-2376A-30-00 $444.57
Rear Suspension
1 Ea. SHOCK ABSORBER FRONT 8GN-47481-00-00 $326.55
1 Ea. SHOCK ABSORBER REAR 8GN-47480-00-00 $556.11
1 Ea. SPRING, REAR 1 8GC-47473-00-00 $75.89
1 Ea. SPRING, REAR 2 8GC-47474-00-00 $75.89
This assumes you leave the sway bar alone and doesn't include the now "infamous" link described frequently in this section that was reported to fail on FX models but not GT models. Replacement of that link involves more parts than just the link and probably deserves its own thread.
Anyway, good luck with your project.
