I'm new to the forum and have been looking at getting into a 4 stroke phazer. I can get a regular phazer for $500 less from a local dealer than a gt. I would be mostly riding on the trails. What is the difference between the two sleds. Could I get the regular phazer and add a windscreen easily? Thanks

I've attached a pdf file comparing the '09 base Phazer with the Phazer GT.
To answer your question directly, you can easily add a windscreen to the base Phazer.
Personally, I feel there is $500 worth of value with the GT over the base model when I consider the shocks, standard reverse, windscreen, wind deflectors and prewiring to accept a DC outlet to name a few.
Of course if those things don't mean much it'll be less costly to just add a windscreen.
Either way you'll have a fun trail sled.
