what's different between the 03 and 05 front springs? I have on 03 I want to upgrade to 2.3 strait rate springs. I have a chance to buy some stock ones off an 05 . does any one know what they are and if they will fit my shocks? Thanks

They will fit the shocks, but I believe they are 2.1's. I have the 2.3's on my 03 and they are way, I mean WAY, better then stock. They 05's will work fine. Its not so much the stiffer spring over all it's the variable rate that killed the 03's. The initial roll of the light weight part of the spring got way too much body roll started and as heavy as the RX1 is, when it starts over, there's no turning it back. Lean all you want, its going where it wants to. If you can get the 05's cheap, go for it. 2.3's new are $90 for both. Good investment for the change in handling. Go with a stiffer bar and longer links as well and you'll be good to go. One last note, when you change the springs, don't put any preload on them. Bring the adjuster nut down to where it just touches and clamp down the jam nut. No preload needed on the stiffer springs.

You may want to go to a 13mm bar. Longer links are the upgraded ones, don't know the mm size, any dealer will know.

Let me see if I have this right . The 04/05 whent to a bigger sway bar 12mm . and longer links that were on the 03's Thanks for all the help I just want to make sure Get all the right parts.

03 - 10mm short links, small ends.
04/05 - 11mm long links, big ends.
Aftermarket: 11, 12mm bar, small ends,
Aftermarket: 12, 13mm bar, big ends.

This means that with the thin ends, you can go 10 to 12mm. With the big ends, you can go 11 to 13mm.

There have been a lot of aftermarket thin-end bars breaking at the ends. This is why you want to go with the THICK ends.
