I heard the Nikon digital slr is one of the better ones. I need to start looking for a slr type camera, I haven't been on top of the game for those.

Betheviper,
Just like sleds....it's all about what you intend to do with it and how much you want to spend. I have a Nikon D70 and a Canon Digital Pro and both have great features but they are very different cameras. Both cost @$1,000 with one standard lens. Additional lenses can cost just about anything you want to spend. There are some great vibration reducing lenses that are great for sports stuff or for long lens shooting....all a matter of preference and how/what you want do do with the camera. There are some descent web sites with boards for almost any camera you want to look at. Several of the boards are real heavy with professional users and those are good ones to check out.

Harcore hit it right on the head as the site he has noted is one of the better sites out there (opinion). If you start narrowing you choices down we can probably point you at some specific sites as many are single vendor oriented. As an example, the following is primarily Nikon oriented but does have some very good information about some other higher end cameras.
http://www.bythom.com/nikon.htm
Some other good sites with digital camera reviews:
http://www.dcresource.com/
http://www.steves-digicams.com/
http://www.dcviews.com/
http://www.imaging-resource.com/DIGCAM01.HTM
If this isn't enough or if you have other questions I can try to provide you more....
Good luck.

you might want to look into the Sony cyber shot p150, has really good pictures quality because it has the carl ziess lens in it. (7.2 megapixels). This camera is also capable of some really high quality short films if you want too. Just a thought!

You can look around and find this camera on the internet for about $350 if you look hard enough!

I have a Sony DSC-P5 with 3.2mp that i bouhgt 3 years ago and i have taken nearly 7000 pictures with it, i´m very satisfied with it but the battery needs to be replaced now. My next camera will be a digital Canon SLR camera.
check out this link: www.bhphotovideo.com
They have all kind of brands with fair prices.
Here´s a pic of my Warrior stuck in 4-5 feet of powder which I took 26th. dec. 2004 with my "old" Sony cam. It took me about 30-45min. to get it out of there

Looks like my couple of stucks. Your sled is identical to mine. Just bought a cannon powershot a-95. Its got some LAG when ya squeeze the cheeze trigger. Wonder if Jeff at CPR can get rid of that kind of lag too?
