ordered a new style CE 162x16x2.5
got it in and checked it out
belt = 16"w
lug base = 15"w
lig tip = 14.25"w
my old CE measures
belt = 16"
lug base = 16"
lug tip = 15.5"
what is the measurement on the 15 wide?
belt =
lug base =
lug tip =
looks to me a 16 wide gains no track lugs
just more belt?

I would be pissed. I want more paddles when upgrading tracks.

I see you have a CE must be the old version?
If the 15 wide has 15" lug base I might as well have it and no mod to fit a 16"w
DAMM I wish I knew this before I bought it
I think I will just call Monday and ask a few questions and see what becomes?

So your saying the "new" 16w should fit much better in the Nytro tunnel?

YES
the belt is 16" but the lugs only measure 15" at the base and 14.25 at the tips
also the lugs feel real soft????
wonder about lugs bending over?
REALLY liked my old CE

I had my frist ride on the new CE today after installing it a couple of days ago. It sucks on ice but hooks up well in the powder. I had the old CE last season and I think the only disadvantage is to this one is there are no teeth on the end of the lugs. I don't normally ride ice but the parking lot was a sheet of glass today but pow up top.

My buddy just went with 15" wide one on his apex part of the reason is that 16" wide track does not have the 16" width of paddles

This is how the 2.86 pitch CE have been for a while now, looks like all 16w CE have the 1/2" space on each side of the lug now.
I don't know if you can find a new "old style" CE. Camoplast had a lot of warranty issues with them last year so that is why I think they came out with a new one this year.
Is it still a $25 dollar difference between the 15w vs 16w? Like mentioned above I think the fitment with the 15w lugs will be much smoother.

The new CE is also a bit softer. Driving on road makes the sled woble from side to side.

Yes just a couple bucks more,
sounded like a no brainer for the extra lug and floatation
I guess I will mod my drop brackets and get ready for March west trip
