Lookin at buying a used heelclicker clutch kit, commander, and an airbox mod. Sled is bone stock, would anyone recommend getting exhaust to complete the air/exhaust ratio? It sounds like this clutch kit is fairly simple to put on...no clutch puller needed, just bolt on. I got all the instructions with it coming but how is the experience hooking up the commander? Looks like a plug and play from the pics ive seen and it looks like its going to be fun adjusting! An advice or user input would be appreciated!

I think its a great call. Allen is very friendly and everyhting your installing is very easy and straight forward and exactly how you imagine. I can change washers in my primary without having to remove the weight, and I adjust my PCIII and ignition module on the go with my laptop in my backback with USB 2.0
I dont like the excell exhaust because its a single, but it is definately a quality exhaust, most likely the best. The is controversy if the stock makes more power than aftermarket, so far excell is the only one with a dyno sheet, but based on the engine air pump theory, should gain some hp.

I have Allen's setup. If it were me i would scratch the clutching and get the PC111, Ignition module and air box mod. Allan could instruct you on how to tune the stock clutching or you could do the clutch kit also. I did my sled and it was flat out running away from my friends stock Apex. We then did his and it put his right back ski to ski with mine. The PC111, Module and air box is quite simple to install. To setup the clutching you just need a good gram scale, Sixteen buck's on ebay for a digital gram scale. The throttle response is unreal. The only down fall is you need to run premium fuel but can run regular if you get in a bind and just avoid the long hard pull's till you get good fuel again. kviper

quick update, Ive decided to get the whole package airbox mod, pcIII, ign module, and heelclicker, should help out the mid range I imagine. I guess the fun will all begin by trying to get everything all tuned in nice.

Great - I did the same in the off season and can't wait to run it either.
Install is very simple. You'll want to get the latest map from Allen. I am not locked in on a starting setup for my Drag-N-Flies. They will take some trial and error to get them dialed in. If you search on here there is some good feedback that should get you a decent starting point.

Yeah I'm glad to get this all done in the off season to save time for actual riding/testing.

You will see that during the summer, traffic around here slows down, but there is always some of the same people on here year round. Mostly for planning of modifications, repairs and other plans. And for us, the season technically never ends, just slows down between rides....

Allen uses Supertip clutch weights, not Heelclicker.
