I searched but can't seem to find how I would take the bearings out safely from the wheels on the skid. I have a stock 03VMax and stock 07 Attak with Marginal wheel kits.
I know some of the wheels have non replaceable bearings. I noticed some of the wheels have a snap ring against the seal covering the bearing. Are these the ones that are replaceable? If so how would I be able to remove and replace the bearings with out harming the wheels? I would guess they would have to be pressed out somehow?

On the wheels that have replaceable bearings you can remove them with a ratchet socket the same size. Place the wheel on something so the bearing can be punched out. Install the new bearing the same way.
Unless the wheels have been replaced on your Attak, none of the wheels have replaceable bearings, not sure about your 03, I know my buddy has an 04 Viper MTN and his wheels had to be replaced also.
BTW you can get the new wheels from Yamaha with replaceable bearings now, Kimpex also makes a Yamaha wheel with replaceable bearings.

Get a pair of snap ring pliers to remove the C rings and then use a large socket to bang out the old bearing. To install a new bearing, I use the old bearing to hammer in the new bearing.

Thanks guys..I see the Fiche shows no replaceable bearings. So how do we tell if the wheels have replaceable bearings? C clip in wheel?

Your upper 2 idler wheels on the upper shaft have replaceable bearings and the inner wheel on the back shaft. I replaced all idler wheels 3 years ago with the yamaha accessory wheels including the 2 outer rear axle wheels and added a 4th wheel. They are good wheels. Have 13,500 miles on them now. I change the bearings every fall.

Why doesn't the Yamaha Fiche show any bearings for part numbers in the diagrams?
I'll do that as well end of next season. I just finished pulling the seals and packing grease in them on all I could. They seemed fine with 3500mi. Grease was bit old for sure.
I will definetly change the bearings on upper idler wheels and inner 2 wheels (4th wheel kit) on the back axle as well as buy the remaining idler wheels at end of next season for sure.
