Can someone tell me how to remove the upper 2 rear guide wheels from the mono skid? I want to send it in for the beef up kit. I got the wheels themselves off, but the bearings will not budge. Are they pressed on? How can I get them off???

I have used a 3 jaw puller

puller
Tried a puller, but wrecked the threads on the inside of the shaft. Good thing we had a tap. Maybe need to have the other end of the shaft in a vice?

put the bolt back in the end, and then use a three jaw puller. It doesn't take much, but ya do need one

In order to keep the 3-jaw puller centered but not contacting the shaft threads, I placed an old track stud in the hole. the tip of the puller then engaged the allen-hole on the back of the stud.
Also, I popped the circlips off and removed the idlers from their bearings while they were still on the shaft. That way, you can just pull on the bearing and not the entire bearing/idler assembly.

Are all "mono" skids the same?
I am planning to a bogie wheel upgrade to larger wheels so I assume mine will have to come off too?

The wheels that this thread is addressing above are the upper idlers. The fitment of the bearings on the upper cross shaft is rather tight.
You'll need a tool to drive the bearings on and puller to remove the bearings.
All the other idlers in the rear end come off with ease.

IRV,
the LTX sleds dont have idlers on the back shaft, they have their own shaft with 2 wheels on them bolted to tunnel.

Exactly what I am talking about.
So I take it when I replace my bogie wheels these 2 most upper idlers won't need to be changed?

thanks
Thanks for all of the input everyone. I managed to get them off by using a puller again.
I put the bolts back in and used 2 crescent wrenches. One I used to turn the bolt on the puller and the other I put on one of the prongs of the puller to hold it from having the whole shaft turn. Worked good. I just hope I remember how to put the whole skid back together. One of the bearings wasn't too good and I'm going to have to replace the 4 front bogies. I already changed the back 2. I also found out my RA mono shock cable is broke. Seems the more I look, the more I find wrong.

Look very close for cracks in the aluminum rails, and for cracks in the suspension part too. When You send them in to be upgraded Welt will fix those craks.
