I am now looking at some Apex's to possibly purchase in the future.Possibly looking at 07's.Was 06 the first year for them.Where the 07's trouble free?Can't afford a new one,so looking for a 5 year used one is my way to go....anything to watch out for when buying one.I know everysled has their issues,but for a 4 stroke..what early years were better ??
2006 MY was the first Apex, they all run pretty well so I am sure what ever your budget allows, you'll be OK. Good luck and you will love the sled!

2006 was the first year. Mine is still running strong. A few suspension changes , clutch kit, and a few other tweeks and it still runs with anything out there!!

Biggest issue I think was handwarmers and non rebuildable wheel bearings in the early Apexes. Seemed like the biggest complaints anyway. They ran fine!

Check for noisy exhaust.....it can mean the donuts (gaskets) in the exhaust pipes are shot......it's a couple hundred repair unless you DIY......then, less than a hundred.

Had my 06 rtx since new and did some tweeks ran exelent, just starting to change bearings and exhaust donuts and other where and tear partrs good luck.
Original owner of an 06 Apex GT.these Apex sleds have there wear parts,once all the fixes are fixed,personalize etc etc they all are great machines! you need to look at everything! i love my machine and know everything about it which is very important! if its been thru some owners,you just never know what,some things are expensive $$$..the engines are the BEST part!!
