When I start sled, how long should temp light be on?

Yes it is the worm up cycle you need to let it worm up then the light goes out and your ready to go.

I think the light goes off when the coolant reaches something like 80 degrees. I like to let it run for 3-5 minutes after the light goes out.. These big 4 strokes like to be warmed up nicely before riding...

On my 06 the throttle will respond even if the light is on. One night I had mine parked in the back driveway and had to move it really fast for something... I can't remember what or who it was off the top of my head now... and i just started it and moved it right away with the light on to get out of the way but then just let it run for 5 minutes after I moved it to make sure it got warm before shutting off and so I didn't foul any plugs. So after that hellacious run on sentence - back to work. haha

Yep. Hit the flipper with the light on and it usually fowls the plugs, quits, then won't re-start until you pull the plugs!!! :drink: :o|

I know it has a temp symbol on it but at that moment on cold start-up its for oil-pressure.

In the morning when its cold my light is on for several minutes and you think its oil pressure... lol

I have noticed too that the colder it is the longer the light stays on. when I start my sled in the summer the light is only on for a couple seconds. In February it stays on for a minute or more. Depends on how cold it is when I start it..
