I rolled my '07 venture doing about 80 today and thankfully wasn't killed, it is pretty twisted up, the track is off to the side and the the suspension looked higher on one side, the front suspension is bent on the left, cab is cracked winsdhield broken, handle bars cracked in two, ignition switch smashed, carbs pulled out of manifolds (hopefully just pulled out, didn't get a good look yet) at what point to you decide to part it out, rather than repair. I would be doing all labour including possible welding etc..Are there many used parts for these around? There is only around 2500 miles on it.

Glad to hear you're okay...80 km or miles? Either way...fortunate not to suffer any major injury.

Sounds like you're pretty handy...spend some time assessing the sled's shape and take it from there. I'm sure there's plenty of used parts available.

Else, get a new Yammy with power steering...could save your life with that option, at least tell yourself that :P

80 mph, hit a bump on the trail which is normally groomed and went a bit sideways before landing and multiple rolls, this is what I was told as I was unconcious for a bit. Tomorrow I will get a good look at it and hope for the best.

Holy crap. Glad you walked away. I am guessing no insurance on the sled or yhe question would not need to be asked. But either way that sounds like a huge job and I always think if its close written off is better as even fixed right its never the same as factory.

Umm, you did go the hospital to get checked out?

When your head clears, and you're feeling thankful that you walked away from a near disaster, give your sled a good looking over, and make a list of all the parts you will need to fix it. Use the internet to search for all your parts. Lots of good parts to be found on this site in the classified WTB area. Or price new parts in the States at a nearby Yammi dealer. In the summer order and go pick them up. Now you have a good summer/fall project to keep you busy and get ready for next year. Sounds like your sled is too new/low miles to write it off just yet.

Tore it apart today, not as bad as I thought, rear control rod pivot shaft, left a arms, key switch, handlebars , mirror and the rest is plastic and windshield. Are there upgrades that can be done to the a arm bushings while they are out?
